Waste Management Norway
Waste Management Norway (Avfall Norge) is an organization for approximately 90 Municipal and intermunicipal solid waste organizations. Avfall Norge covers about 95 percent of Norway's municipalities, directly or via an intermunicipal organization. Avfall Norge has approximately 70 associated members.
Avfall Norge is an active supporter and coordinator for the members, and exponent towards media, trade and industry, and central authorities in important and principal issues within the solid waste sector. Avfall Norge will attend to public interests by stimulating waste reduction efforts, and influence the waste treatment in an environmentally correct and sustainable direction.
Håkon Jentoft is the managing director of Waste Management Norway. He has worked in the organization since year 2000 and became managing director temporarly September 2007 and on permanent basis February 2008.

- Competence – Avfall Norge is the leading professional organization within the waste sector in Norway, and contributes to the increase of competence in this field.
- Influencing power – Avfall Norge is an active exponent in regards to authorities, trade and industry, and other traders within the waste sector.
- Member orientation – Avfall Norge is an active coordinator for the members, and provides a meeting place for the waste sector.
- Public Relations – Avfall Norge stays in close contact with authorities, trade and industry, education and training institutions and media.
- International orientation – Avfall Norge is a national link and coordinator for international engagement for the Norwegian waste mangement industry.
